Worker wanted for allegedly tying up boss in robbery, Alvin police say
Alvin police are searching for a contract maintenance worker accused of tying up a landlord who had used his services and robbing him at his home.

ALVIN, Texas (KTRK) -- A suspect is on the run after being accused of tying up his 76-year-old boss and robbing him at his home in Alvin.

Barry Livingston told Eyewitness News that he owns a mobile home park and found 58-year-old Darryl Wayne Pressley on Craigslist advertising his maintenance and repair services.

He told ABC13 that Pressley was a model employee who had been working for him several times a week for six or seven weeks.

On Saturday at about 8:30 a.m., the victim said Pressley came into his mobile home on S Mustang Road demanding money. When he told Pressley "no," he allegedly severely beat him, tied him up, and stole $3,000 before taking off.

"He knocked me off balance and then he's punching down at me," Livingston said. "I'm shook. I'm nervous. At night, I find I'm not sleeping well yet because it's just like I'm tired and I can't sleep."

Pressley couldn't find his own car keys, so he put his belongings in the landlord's truck, according to the victim.

He eventually found his keys, took off in his own car, and left his belongings, including two cell phones, in the landlord's truck.

The 76-year-old said he drove himself to the police station and reported what happened.

"He made a comment somewhere along the line that he does this, that he's really good at what he does and he does a really nice job to gain someones trust so that he can rob them," Livingston said.

Pressley hasn't been arrested and is wanted for aggravated robbery.

Investigators said he was last seen driving a red 4-door Toyota Camry. Pressley is also wanted on several other felony warrants from different agencies, according to authorities.

If you have any information about Pressley's whereabouts, contact APD Det. Ray at 281-585-7177 or [email protected] and reference case number 25-01318.
