HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Drivers, keep an eye out for high-water locations on Houston-area roads and drive safely as rain comes down across southeast Texas.

In West Harris County, Patterson from Clay Road to SH-6 North is shut down due to high water.

In Matagorda County, State Highway 35, between Palacios and Port Comfort, is closed due to high water. FM 1862 between Blessing and State Highway 35 South is also closed.

Remember, if you come across high water, don't attempt to drive through it. Turn around, don't drown.
