Briana Conner is an award-winning journalist who joined ABC13 as a reporter and anchor in June 2021.



The Houston, Texas native is a graduate of Hightower High School. She started her career in Victoria, Texas, and most recently covered the Triad community in North Carolina. During her time there, Briana covered local and national events like NCAA March Madness, the Panthers Super Bowl run in 2016, Hurricane Florence, the 2016 and 2020 elections, the massacre at Mother Emmanuel AME Church, and the subsequent removal of the Confederate Flag from the South Carolina State House.

Behind the scenes, Briana continues a close relationship with her alma mater, The University of Texas at Austin. She was a member of the UT Pom Squad during her time there and continues dancing now in her spare time.

She also dedicates much of her time to community and board service. Previously, Briana served as the Vice Chair of the Winston-Salem Urban League, and she was an advisory board member for the chamber of commerce. Briana also volunteers with the Girl Scouts, The American Heart Association, the local food bank, and loves working with cultural arts centers. She was named as one of the top 40 leaders under 40 and one of the top 40 influential African Americans in the Triad.
